Monday, Nov. 14th Announcements

Nov 14 Tomorrow is Toonie Tuesday at the Foods Room.  For a toonie you can get Taco-in-a-bag or a bowl of chili.  For another toonie you can get a Gatorade or for a loonie ice tea or water.
Nov 14 -15 Eagle’s hockey begins this week and they need your help.  Students are needed to assist at the door selling tickets.  If you need volunteer hours or just want to help, come see Mr. Zilkalns or leave your name at the office and he’ll find you.  With games Tues, Wed and Thurs there is no time to waste.
Nov 14 Athlete’s owed prizes for selling Eagles cards can see Mr. Zilkalns from 12 – 12:30 pm today in the hallway by the trophy case.  For those who have not handed anything in, must do so this week.
Nov 14 – 17 There will be a yearend football meeting in the big gym on Thursday at 11:30 am.  Topics include equipment returns, champions gear and next steps.  Please make an effort to be there.
Nov 14 – 16 A talented group of Eagles boy’s hockey looks to start their season strong when the TA Saints come to town Wednesday night.  Faceoff is set for 6:30 pm.
Nov 14 – 15  The Eagles girl’s hockey team opens the 2016 season Tuesday night at 6:30 pm against the TA Saints.  After beating them 1 – 0 in a tournament 2 weeks ago the action promises to be intense.  Come cheer on the girls in their quest to be #1.
Nov 14 Are you asking “What Time is it”?   Well it is time to feel “Fabulous” and audition for the Dramatic Arts Associations production of Disney’s High School Musical 2!   On Stage!   Remember “you are the music in me” and that we’ll “work this out”.   You might feel like you are no Zac Effron you might even say “I Don’t Dance”, but don’t let that stop you in signing up for an audition outside room 125.   With “Every Day” we’ll get better, remembering that we are “All for One”.  If you are one of those people who just “Gotta Go My Own Way”, then work your way down to room 125 now and sign up.
Nov 14 If you are 18 or over and have not filled out the Consent to Release Information Form.  We need these forms filled out as soon as possible.  If you are currently in grade 11 and considering going to Con College after graduation, you may qualify for a $1000 entrance award.  Please stop by the guidance office for more information. Wed. Nov. 9th Announcements

 

Nov 9 It was a successful NorWOSSA day on Tuesday.  The Eagles Jr. boys Volleyball team stretched the 1st place Broncos to 5 sets before claiming a silver medal.  The 3 contests that followed pitted Dryden against Fort Frances and all ended the same way – with the Eagles winning the gold medal.  Congratulations Eagles!
Nov 9 & 10 Tryouts for boys basketball & girls volleyball will not be occurring this week.  Listen for announcements and watch for posters coming soon!
Nov 9 Today is football day…if you are unable to go to Winnipeg to watch you can follow the Eagles on the live broadcast on CKDR & watch it online. Click on the link on CKDR.
Nov 9 Attention all Nordic Skiers – dryland training scheduled for today has been postponed to Thursday.  Mr. Schmidt apologizes for the change of schedule and hopes to see all interested athletes after school tomorrow in room 137.
Nov 9 If anyone is interested in wrestling this year, there will be a brief meeting on Nov. 10th in room 114 at 11:30 am & practice will begin on Nov. 15th.  You can sign up if interested in wrestling in the main office.
