Grade 9 Students – Enter the “Ultimate Dream Job” contest.

ultimatedreamjobThe Learning Partnership presents “The Ultimate Dream Job Contest” for all grade 9 students in Canada.

From August 31 to October 11, students across Canada in grade 9/Senior I/ Secondary III are being asked to submit photos representing their ‘Dream Job’, along with a short description about why this would be their dream job. The eligible Grand Prize winner will be selected by online voting between October 19th and 25th with the winner being announced on October 26th.

Morning Announcements – Sept. 10, 2009

Sept. 10 The golf team kicked off their NorWOSSA season yesterday in Atikokan with the girls placing first and the boys finishing 3rd in the team division.  Amanda Wheatley placed 2nd in the girls with Brett Getson finishing 4th in the boys competition.
Sept. 9 & 10 Youth Bowling Leagues for ages 14 to 19 starts this Thursday Sept. 10th.  Call Timber Lanes @ 223-4343 for more information.
Sept. 9 & 10 There will be a meeting in the drama room (125) today at lunch for all those interested in joining the drama club this year.
Sept. 9 – 11 For those who are interested in joining the Music Association or just finding out more about it, there will be a meeting on Friday at lunch in the music room (134)

DHS Golfers in Atikokan – Wednesday, Sept 9th.

The DHS Golf team traveled to Atikokan for NORWOSSA play on Wednesday.

The boys team placed third overall, with a score of 346 (total of the best three scores). The girls team placed first.

In individual results, Brett Getson was third for the boys with 82 points, and Amanda Wheatley was second on the girls side with 104 points.
