DHS Court Sport teams in Fort Frances for NorWossa Championship

Sr. Boys win NorWOSSA Gold in three sets 25-23, 25-22 and 25-18.

Sr. Girls win NorWOSSA Gold! Final Score 38-36. Morgan Church had 20 pts, Halle Lobreau 7 and Carly Kaus 6.

The DHS Volleyball and Basketball teams are in Fort Frances today competing for the NorWossa Championship.

The Junior Boys lost in the final match to the Fort Frances Muskies in 4 sets. (25-20, 19-25, 23-25, 19-25.)

The Junior Girls fell 36-29 in the final game. Ashley Kropelin and Amy Doudiet led scorers with 7 and Hailey Yurkiw added 6.

The Sr. Girls won the semifinal match 36-16 and will be playoing in the final this evening.

Morning Announcements – Nov. 10, 2010

Nov. 10 Teachers are reminded that verification sheets are due in to the main office no later than 4:00 p.m. today.
Nov. 10 Poppies are available in the main office for any donation to the Legion which goes towards people in the  Military & their families.  Someone will be around again tomorrow morning to Pd. 1 classes to be sure everyone has a chance to receive a poppy.  Remember to wear your poppies on your left side over your heart.
Nov. 10  Try outs for 2nd season court sport teams – girls volleyball & boys basketball, will start within a week.  Sr. Girls volleyball starts this weekend & the rest next week.  Please see the posters hanging up around the school for days & times.
Nov. 9 – 17 Picture retake day is Nov. 17th at 9:00 a.m.   The picture package brochures are here in the main office.
Nov. 10 – 19 Do you like doing crafts?  Do you want to learn how to make moccasins, mittens and other Christmas ornaments?  Join Mrs. Ambridge at lunch all next week to make ornaments for a tree for Grace Haven.  Volunteer hours can be obtained.
Nov. 8 – 11 Time keepers are needed for the upcoming AA Atom/PeeWee and Bantam Hockey Tourney on Nov. 12, 13 and 14.  Please come to the main office to sign up.
Nov. 10 Attention Grade 12’s with Safe Grad Tickets – Ticket books must be turned in by Friday November 19th unless you have made other arrangements with Mrs. Griffiths. 
Nov. 10 This year at the Festival of Trees there will be a “Dryden Kids Have Talent” Show.  It will be Nov. 27th at 6:30 p.m. at The Centre.  You can sing, dance, perform magic, or tell jokes.  Registration forms are here in the main office.  Sign up early as entries are limited.  There is a $5.00 minimum donation to Grace Haven per entry.

Nov. 9 The spectator bus seats are now full.  Attention to all those people who are signed up for the spectator bus.  Please read the list posted on the phys. ed. office window for your departure time – some are 7:45 & some are 8:45.
