Canadian Aboriginal Writing Challenge

The Historica-Dominion Institute invites Aboriginal youth (status, non-status, Métis and Inuit) to submit an original short story that explores a moment in Aboriginal history – this could be an event of personal, regional or national significance.

First place winners in both categories will receive a $2000 cash prize. Submission deadline is March 31st.

Canadian Navy Centennial Essay Contest

The Naval Officers’ Association of Canada is inviting high school students to participate in a national Essay, Poem and Artwork Contest. Students are invited to choose a topic and express their creativity through an essay (750-1000 words), a poem (up to 80 lines) or original artwork (max. dim. 11″x17″).

Design Exchange High School Design Competition

Are you interested in design? Do you ever have ideas about fashion, architecture, graphics or products? The Sears Canada High School Design competition is for you!

Design Exchange is proud to announce the 15th Annual Sears Canadian High School Design Competition. The aim of the competition is to promote the study and awareness of various design disciplines in schools across Canada. The competition is open to all high school students, at the junior (grades 10 and below) and senior (grades 11 and above) levels. Prizes will be awarded at the two levels, in each of the four categories – Industrial Design, Fashion Design, Architectural / Interior Design, and Graphic Design.
