Morning Announcements – November 7th, 2011

Nov. 7 Congratulations to the Eagles Midget and Junior Cross Country Runners who travelled to Ottawa last weekend to take on the best runners and teams in the province at the 2011 Provincial Championships in Ottawa … the largest high school cross country running championships in North America.  Your Eagles Midget Girls team of Andie Wood, Elizabeth Carter, Emily Arsenault and Emmy Day took on the province’s best, and returned with a 4th place finish among the province’s single A and double A team and 26th of 850 schools in the province.  Tyler Leonzio, Eldon Vandenbrand, Jake Wickstrom and Kirk Markowski turned in seasonal best performances as they competed as individual runners against the provinces best in the midget boys and junior boys category, finishing in the top 5% of the province.  Look forward to more amazing results as your DHS Eagles move in to the indoor and outdoor track and field championship season in January.
