Wednesday was a perfect racing day at Lappe Nordic Centre in Thunder Bay.

Despite being able to only send 4 skiers to the event, all athletes posted solid results.  Kjell Schmidt placed 5th in the Senior Boys Division, skiing a fast but hilly 7.4km course in 25:23, while Garrett Lindquist placed 10th in the Junior Boys 6km race with a time of 20:31.  These finishes qualify for moving on to OFSAA.

Eric Schmidt and Riley Hill skied consistent races, placing 17th and 21st respectively in Junior Boys as well.  The last race of the season for the DHS ski team will be held at the Dryden Ski Club on Saturday, Feb20th.  This is an open race, so all interested athletes are welcome to compete!

See Mr. Schmidt for more information.
