Mar. 29 Coop students are reminded that tomorrow is an in-class reflection day in room 119.
Mar. – Apr. The Grade 12 Cosmetology class will be doing Hair Styling for the Spring Fling Dance on Thursday, April 8th.  Check the list for stylist names and prices in the main office. 
Mar. 29 For students who have not yet registered for baseball, there are registration forms in the office.  These forms must be mailed in by April 1st to avoid a late fee.
Mar. 29 Girls Soccer Tryouts begin tomorrow at 6:50 in the big gym.  That’s right ladies, Carlos and Ms. Kunza will see you for your first tryout bright and early Tuesday at 6:50 in the morning – don’t be late!  See you there.
Mar. – Apr. Grade 12 graduating students…graduation is only a few months away.  Orders for your cap and gown can now be made at the office.  $20.00 will reserve a cap and gown … a requirement for walking across the stage.  If you are choosing not to attend the graduation ceremonies, please fill out a form indicating a cap and gown will not be required.

 Remember:  The Grade 12 Cosmetology class is offering Thursday and Friday lunch hour salon services for March and April.  Request your stylist on sign-up sheets at room 124A or in the main office.

Northern Ontario School of Medicine visits DHS

Student Life

A group of DHS students were given a first hand look at studying medicine at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine on Thursday.

Kristie Skunta and Marlon Hagerty are third year NOSM medical students from Thunder Bay that are spending 8 months in Dryden learning about community health at the hospital and clinic.

Their presentation touched on aspects of studying medicine and discussed their own personal pathways to medical school. 

Thanks to the presenters for sharing their knowledge with DHS students!

Mar. 26 Mr. Zilkaln’s period 3, Grade 11/12 Phys. Ed. class is to go to room 138 today.  Bring a writing utensil.

Mar. 25, 26 To all of the “Music Man” Folk… get ready for our “EPIC” 9 – 4:30 practice on Saturday.  Don’t forget your $5.00 for lunch and bring your pot luck dessert!  See you there.
Mar. 25,26 Attention all students and teachers – there is a card for Jonathan Mudryk for everyone to sign, sitting on the table just outside the office doors.  Some friends will be visiting Jonathan this weekend and would like to take the card to him.
