Morning Announcements – July 16, 2010

June 16 – 21 Subway would like everyone to be aware of their schedule during exams.  Their hours will be 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 June 17, 18, & 21st.  They will be closed on June 22nd.
June 15 – 16 One last reminder to Grads – you need to get your yearbook captions in by the end of today.
June 14 – 16 Any students with school laptops, please bring them to the resource room asap.
June 14 – 16 Reminder to everyone.  As you are cleaning out your locker and find a long-lost library book, please take a minute and return it to the library.
June 14 – 16 Attention Boys Basketball Players – There is information about the Lakehead University basketball camp available in the phys. Ed. office.  See the poster outside the big gym for details.
June 7 – 16 If you require first aid or CPR courses for college or university this fall, contact the Canadian Red Cross Office.  Phone numbers and course schedules are listed in the guidance office.  Space is limited, so book now.
June 16 The Walleye Masters Tournament is looking for volunteers for June 19 & 20.  Call 223-2622 for more information or to sign up.
June 16 Light the Ball Diamonds Committee is looking for volunteers for the following dates:  June 19, 24, 26 & 27, July 1 & 7.  For more information stop by the guidance office.
June 16 Volunteers are needed to carry the Centennial Quilts in a parade on Saturday, July 30th.  If you are interested please sign up in the main office.
June 16 Dryden Fire Service Hall 2 is looking for volunteers for the highway clean up this month.  Contact Jim Osborne @ 937-5058.
June 16 If you are a student in need of volunteer hours, organizers of Dryden’s first ever Centennial Run on Aug. 8th, are hoping to get some volunteers to help out at this event.  Help would be needed at hydration stations approximately every 2 km along the race route, help with set up and clean up and other race related jobs would also be available.  For more information call 223 – 4550.
June 16 Vermilion Bay Seniors Club is looking for student volunteers to help with an event on June 26th.  They would need help with setting up of tables and chairs, serving meals and then clean up after the event.  For more information call 755-1512.

June 15 To All Grade 12 Graduates – Safe Grad has raised the money, bought the prizes & the food, booked the music and the games and are ready to decorate!  Now we need your families to volunteer the night of Safe Grad.  Without 40 more volunteers, we may have to cancel.  Please talk to your parents and call Terri Hamilton or sign up in the main office.
June 15 – 16 Attention Grads – you need to get your yearbook captions in by Wednesday.
June 15 Attention Music Association.  Don’t forget the banquet today at 5:30 p.m.  Bring $2.00 & a potluck dessert.  If you need directions, see Mr. Graham.
June 14, 15 There will be a mandatory Visual Arts Association meeting at 11:30 in room 130 today.  Its time to plan for next year, so bring your ideas, and lunch.  See you there.
