Morning Announcements – Oct. 2, 2009

Oct. 2 – 23 The Children’s Resource Centre is looking for student volunteers.  For more information come to the main office.
Oct. 1,2,5,6 Just a reminder to staff and students that 21 University representatives from across Ontario will be here Tues. Oct. 6th from 2:00 – 3:30 in the cafeteria.  Parents are also welcome.
Oct. 2 There will be a meeting for the girl’s hockey team today @ 11:30 in room 209.
Sept. 30 – Oct. 2 Rotary International is offering a program for qualifying grade 11 & 12 students that are interested in Agriculture.  This opportunity includes an all expenses paid trip to Regina from November 25 – 29.  Deadline is October 16th.  See Mr. Desautels in the guidance office for more details.

Cross-country and Golf results

In NWOSSA Golf, Brett Getson shot a 77 in Fort Frances to edge out the rest of the field.
The Eagles Boys team finished the Tournament in third place.
Dryden’s Amanda Wheatley picked up Bronze in the Girls Division.

The DHS Cross-Country competed in their first event Wednesday in Thunder Bay with impressive results.
The top DHS athlete of the day was Taylor Koshel, who brought home silver in the Senior Girls Division.

In team competition, the Midget Girls and Junior Boys each ended up in second place.

DHS Eagles recorded 3 Top 5 individual finishes:

And and additional 7 top 15 finishes
