June 11 Hey Eagles.  Are you graduating?  Have you got any Eagles Wear to proudly show where you went to school when you walk out the doors of DHS for the last time?  Come to the Eagles Nest and pick something up today.
June 11 The Friendship Centre is looking for 5 volunteers to cook fish on June 20th.  Please call Frances at 223-4180.
June 11 Girls & boys soccer players are to return any DHS uniforms to the Phys. Ed. office with your name attached before exams.
June 11 Organizers for the Canada Day Triathlon are looking for some volunteers to help out with Triathlon events.  For more information please call Cindy Smith 223-8876.
June 11 For any students looking for some volunteer hours at the beginning of the school year, the office is looking for students to help with our locker assignment for a few days from August  21st – 24th.

June 5 Stop by the guidance office to check out Summer Credit opportunities at Dryden High School.  You can chose between Independent Study Course, eLearning and/or Summer Co-op.  Be sure to sign up quickly as space fills up.
June 5 Attention all soccer players.  Have your lockers in the change room cleaned out by today @ 3:30 please – empty them completely & leave the locks on the locker.  IDC 4U0 class – remember to meet in the big gym at 12:00 noon today.
June 5 Noon hour lunch is moved to Thursday.  Come on out for a year end BBQ.  Mrs. Tremonti’s period two PPF class is reminded we are at the Rec Centre today.
June 5 Mr. Lalonde’s PAL volleyball class is reminded to meet at the Riverview Lodge for 2:00.
June 5 This is a reminder for Mr. G’s music classes.  You have rehearsal at lunch today.  Please be as quick as you can be!

June 5 2012 Northern Ontario Youth Talent Search FUTURE STAR official Entry Forms are here in the main office.  The preliminary competitions are June 8th & 9th and the final competitions is Sunday, August 12th at the CLE Fair.  Limited entries will be accepted.  Junior entry fee is $15.00 and Senior is a $20.00 entry fee.  For more information come to the main office.
June 5 Organizers for Family Safety Night are looking for volunteers.  It would be easy, fun and greatly appreciated.  Volunteers are needed to hand out free items (token, draw ticket & promo item) to attendees and also to hand out free drinks & chips at the refreshment booth.  Shifts are available from 3:30 – 5:30 or 5:30 – 7:00.  Family Safety Night is Wednesday, June 6th.

KOSSS Square Dance Team @ the Centre

You are invited to the Centre tonight for a ‘KOSSS Square Dance Team’ performance at 7:00. 

The team consists of 16 Keewaytinook Okimakanak students who attend various high schools in Thunder Bay.  They are students who have taken an interest in extra-curricular activities and have been practicing throughout the academic year.

The show is free to interested members of the public and will be followed by a meet and greet with the students and members of KO, including Goyce Kakagamic and Geordi Kakepetum.  Bannock and juice will also be offered after the presentation.  There is no cost for individuals or their families to attend this event.
