Nov 21 If you are in need of some volunteer hours, Patricia Gardens is looking for 2 helpers to sell raffle tickets on Saturday, December 1st from 10 am – 2 pm.  Please come to the office for the contact information. (Joy Auren 220-5822)
Nov 21 Come one come all to room 125 on Wednesday & Thursday at lunch for a script reading of Mary Poppins…it’s sure to be super califragilistic xpialidocious… with just a spoonful of sugar.
Nov 21-22 Students wanting to score keep, line or work the boys basketball or girls volleyball games can see Mr. Zilkalns or sign up at the main office this week.  A schedule will be posted on the Phys Ed office window once workers are confirmed.
Nov 21 Reminder the Nordic Ski Team meeting is today at 3:30 pm in room 137.  Again, all interested athletes are welcome.  Come ready for indoor fitness training.  Contact Mr. Schmidt for more information.
Nov 21 Thunder Bay Hammarskjold High School is looking at hosting a Northwestern Ontario High School Chess Championship.  Any students interested, please submit your name at the office.
Nov 21 Any potential grads that are interested in being a part of graduation plans or safe grad plans, please go to the “DHS Graduating Class 2019” face book page.

Guidance 1) Volunteer opportunities – Michelle Hill Photography is looking for student volunteers to be elves during a photo shoot on November 24th – sign-up sheet in the main office

2)  POTENTIAL GRADS:  Guidance counsellors will be helping you start your college and/or university applications next week in your Block D classes.  You need to know your mailing address – all other information will be on hand to have you prepare your application.

Nov 19 The Nordic Ski Team meeting that was scheduled for 3:30 pm today has been cancelled, but is rescheduled for this Wednesday, Nov 21 at 3:30 pm in room 137.  Again, all interested athletes are welcome.  Come ready for indoor fitness training.  Contact Mr. Schmidt for more information.
 Nov 19 The boy’s hockey team captured bronze at their home tournament over the weekend.  The next action on the ice is the girls home opener tomorrow night at 6:30 pm when they face the Sioux North Warriors.

Nov 16 The Jr. Girls volleyball roster is posted on the door of room 114.  Practice begins on Monday, Nov. 19th from 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm.
Nov 16 The Nordic ski team is starting up regular practices this week.  If you are interested in being part of the team, please come out this Monday for an information meeting and dryland training at 3:30pm in room 137.  No experience is necessary and all equipment can be provided.  See Mr Schmidt for more information or if unable to attend.
