Jan 17 Come From Away is a Canadian Musical that took Broadway and New York City by storm and has a sold out run in Winnipeg.  But DHS has limited tickets and we would like you to join us on Wednesday January 31st as we take a bus to watch this great show.   Although the events of Sept 11th seems like a life time ago, it is still real and painful for many people, Come From Away presents a Canadian Perspective and story, reminding us of the pain and horror of the day, but wrapping it in a warm Canadian spin, while attending a fun Newfie party. (What started as an average day in a small town turned in to an international sleep-over when 38 planes, carrying thousands of people from across the globe, were diverted to Gander Newfoundland’s air strip.   Despite culture clashes and language barriers, the people of Gander cheered the stranded travelers with music, an open bar and the recognition that we’re all part of a global family). More information is available in the main office, hurry, seats are limited.
Jan 17 Interested in Travelling with DHS Ambassadors, missed out on Greece this year, well there are two exciting trips planed.   Travel to Scotland in 2019 or in 2020 to Berlin, Prague, Krakow and Budapest.   Interested, then invite your parents and come to an information meeting Thursday Jan 25th at 5pm in room 107.    See Mr. Mitchell for more information.
