Dec. 5 Grade 11 Outdoor Ed. students are reminded that we are outside period 3 today.
Dec. 5 There will be a Safe Grad table set up outside the library during the lunch hour on Thursday, December 6th to bring in raffle ticket books and money.  If you need tickets, you can pick some up at this time.  We need all of our books out sold and another 100 books out and sold to reach our goal.
Dec. 5 Calling all Machin High School Students!  Earn volunteer hours this weekend on Saturday Dec. 8 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Vermilion Bay Christmas parade.  Volunteers are needed to wear costumes on the Vermilion Bay Community Garden float.  For more information, please call Sue Wood at 937-1637.
Dec. 5 Attention Reading Eagles.  This year’s White Pine books have arrived and are ready for your reading pleasure.  Stop by the library, sign up and check one out today.
Dec. 5 There will be a Confederation College presentation here at DHS on Tuesday, December 11th at 9:00 a.m. in the library.  Please sign up in the Guidance office.
Dec. 5 Attention Students!  Are you looking to earn some volunteer hours?   Volunteer at the arena to greet the public and track the number of adults and youth that attend several public skating events throughout December.  If you are interested, come to the main office for more information.
Dec. 5 To students applying to out of province universities – you must let Guidance know this information so your transcripts can be sent to those universities.

Nov. 27 The Eagles girls hockey team defeated the Red Lake Rams 6 – 3 Friday night.  Scoring for the Eagles were  Ashley Kropelin with a hat trick, Brenna Stratford, Liv Carter, and Morgan Church.  Jacquie Grandmont earned the win in net.  Come cheer on the team tonight as they play their home opener against the Sioux Lookout Warriors.  Game time is at 7:00.
Nov. 27 Thanks to all the students & staff who worked hard last week to prove that we truly are better without bullying!  Tonight’s SAVE meeting in the school library will be at 3:10 and we will be working on the Dec. 6th Vigil that recognizes the national day of remembrance & action on violence against women.  Please come out and get involved!  It’s a great way to earn volunteer hours!
Nov. 27 A reminder to all Co-op students that in-class day is tomorrow in the library.  Remember to tell your employer the reason for your absence.

Nov. 22 Organizers for a Bantam Hockey Tournament taking place on the Nov. 30th weekend are looking for time keepers.  If you are in need of volunteer hours, & can help them out, please come to the main office for more information.
Nov. 22 The Festival of Trees supporting Grace Haven is today, Fri. & Sat. at the Centre.  If you would like to be a volunteer at this event, come to the office for more information.
