After leading for the first 45 minutes of the game, the Eagles fell 18-15 vs. the Elmwood Giants on Friday.

Jake Berrey brought home a touchdown for the Eagles and Adam Swientek added two field goals. The Eagles defence also forced a Giants safety.

The Eagles travel to Winnipeg to meet the West Kildonan Wolverines this Friday, and are back home for the Homecoming game vs. the St. Johns Tigers on Friday, Sept. 25th.

Morning Announcements – Sept. 14, 2009

Sept. 14 The Eagles football team led for 46 minutes on Friday but couldn’t finish off the Elmwood Giants & lost their opener 18 – 15.  The team travels to Winnipeg next & will try to even its record vs. the West Kildonan Wolverines.
Sept. 14 – 17 If you are interested in trying out for the boys hockey team, sign up in the main office before this Thursday.  First session is on Sunday.  If you have any questions, please see Mr. Oltsher.
Sept. 14 DHS Ambassadors – Don’t forget to pick up your perogie order forms in Room 124B today at 11:30 sharp.
Sept. 14, 15 Lakehead University will be here on Tuesday, Sept. 15th at 9:00 in the Library.  Students wishing to attend this information session should sign up in the Guidance Office.

“Wheels in Motion” Mountain Biking Clinic

bikeOn October 3rd and 4th 4-H Ontario is presenting a Mountain Biking Clinic at the Dryden Ski Hill. These two day clinics will teach you mountain-biking skills, bike safety, leadership, and evironmental awareness.

Don’t have a bike? No problem, they will provide a bike for you if you don’t have one.

Cost is $15 dollars. Registration deadline is September 23rd.
