Late last week, the Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation (OSSTF) announced they will escalate job action to a one-day, province-wide full withdrawal of services on Wednesday, December 4, 2019, if a new agreement isn’t reached before then.  OSSTF members in KPDSB schools include secondary and adult education teachers, as well as elementary and secondary Education Assistants, office, clerical, library and occasional staff.

Should they announced one-day, province-wide full withdrawal of services go ahead on Wednesday, December 4, this will be a full strike by OSSTF members and all KPDSB schools (elementary, secondary and adult education sites) will be CLOSED to students.  Childcares in KPDSB schools will remain open, but before and after school programming will not be operating. Cooperative Education placements and all off-site programs for secondary students will also be cancelled for the day.

Families are encouraged to make alternate arrangements for their child(ren) for December 4, 2019, in preparation.  Please watch the KPDSB website  or KPDSB social media platforms for further updates, (click here to visit our KPDSB Facebook page, or here for KPDSB Twitter).  We will post any new information as it becomes available.
