In volleyball
action yesterday the Eagles split
with the Warriors. The seniors moved to 5 & 2 on the year on the
strength of Aiden Butts serving in set 1 and good defense play. The juniors
fell 2 sets to 0 but still remain in a playoff spot. Road games in Fort and
Kenora remain before DHS hosts the playoffs.
Both
the senior & junior girls’ basketball teams won yesterday to improve to 6 & 1 on
the season. Brynn Montgomery’s 17 with Emily Heils 10 points propelled the
seniors. Kitlyn Viherjoki scored over half the points for the Eagles in their
32-30 victory over Sioux North.
