Wednesday, June 10 Morning Announcements

June 10 All students who are interested in travelling to Italy next year with the DHS Ambassadors are asked to come to the meeting tomorrow at lunch in Room 203.  We are having a brief meeting to discuss which tour options you would like, so come out and vote on your favourite choice!
June 10 Copies of the exam schedule can now be picked up in the office.
June 10 – 11 Wouldn’t it be nice to know that you are traveling with DHS next year on the March Break?   Come out to an information meeting tomorrow night at 7 pm in room 107 to hear more about this trip to Central America. This will be an exciting chance to visit jungles, rain forests and beautiful sand beaches.   Our trip will take us through ancient ruins, animal parks, snorkeling, zip lining and be full of other adrenaline pumping, Eco Tourism related experiences.   Hope to see you there.

Grade 12 students, the Bartlett family is sponsoring a $1,000 bursary.  To find out more about the bursary, check out our website or stop by the guidance office.
June 10 Dryden High School summer school opportunities are here.  If you are behind in credits or would like to reach ahead in credits please contact the guidance department.  Numerous independent study courses are available; French Immersion, Recreation & Healthy Active Living Leadership, Career/Civics, Cooperative Education, Digital Photography and Welding are just a few options available.  Sign up soon as space is limited.
June 10 Grade 12 graduates are reminded to sign the safe grad guest sign-up sheet in the office if your guest is not a graduate.  You can come to the office to pick up your 3 tickets to the Grand March and advise how many members will be attending the ceremony.
June 10 The Athletic Awards Banquet is tomorrow and tickets are still available in the office for $10 each.  Today is the last day to get them, so hurry down to the office to get one.  All athletes and parents are welcome!
June 10 If you are looking for some volunteer hours, there is a tree planting event this Saturday beginning at 9:00 am, also Mardi Plomp is looking for helpers to clean up from a fundraiser on Sunday, June 14th and volunteers are needed to clean up the Amesdale cemetery on June 14. The walleye master committee is looking for 2 helpers to release the fish on June 20th & 21st from 2:30 – 5:30 pm. Please come to the Main Office or Guidance office for further information.
June 12-17 There will be a plant sale at lunch on June 17th, bring $2.00 and buy a flower or plant to help raise money for environmental issues.
