Morning Announcements – Monday, June 9th, 2014

June 9 Congratulations to the eagles track and field team for their best ever performance at all province all school ofsaa championships in Mississauga last weekend.  The team set multiple school and NWOSSAA records over the three days.  The girls team had an outstanding meet.Lindsay Coles finished 8th in midget girls discus. With an NWOSSAA record.  Andie Wood finished 10th and also set an NWOSSAA record in the open girls steeple.  She finished 20th in the 3000 m run.  Ally WISNESKI finished 14th in discus and 19th in shot.  Alexandra Cooper finished 15th in javelin and top 20 in the discus and shot.Well done Eagles! Many of this year’s team will continue their season over the summer as members of the Manitoba provincial youth team as they work towards the Canadian Youth Championships in Langley BC this August.
June 9 Students using school laptops are reminded to return the laptop and all other equipment to Mrs. Jones in the Resource Room as soon as possible by Wednesday at the latest.
June 9 If there are any grade 12 grad students who do not need all 5 ceremony tickets, please bring your extras to the office.
June 9 There will be a Safe Grad meeting tonight @ 7 pm in DHS library.  Gr. 11 students are also encouraged to attend.  Volunteers are still needed at the safe grad event.
June 9 Any DHS Ambassadors that sign up by the end of June to go to Spain next year will get $100.00 off the price of your trip.  Please see Mr. Markham in Room 211 or Ms. McMaster in the office if you are interested in travelling.
June 9 Dryden High School summer school opportunities are here!  Are you behind in credits or would like to reach ahead in credits?  DHS has numerous summer school opportunities like independent study, cooperative education, French immersion, and others, that could suit your needs.  Please contact the DHS guidance department to register!
