Apr. 23 There will be a boys and girls golf team meeting today at 11:30 in room 138.
Apr. 23 – 25 Students interests in going to Forensic Science Camp at Trent University in July can pick up more information in the guidance office.
Apr. 23 Congratulations to the Eagles Track and Field Team for a great performance on Tuesday.  The Dryden Eagles Track and Field kicked off the 2014 outdoor season today, taking on the best teams from Northern Minnesota in International Falls, MN.  The DHS Eagles Girls team captured second overall, with Eagles Boys taking third in the overall boys category.  Top performers of the day included Andie Wood, Kirk Markowski, Elisa Mawby, Chelsea Martel, Michael Hodgkinson,and Jacob Benson.  The team will return to Baudette, MN for a rematch on Friday May 2nd.
Apr. 23 The Gay Straight Alliance has a very important meeting today at 12 noon in the upper video conference room.   All members are to attend.
Apr. 23 How do you want to spend next year’s March Break?  Imagine; white sand beaches, snorkeling, zip-lining through the rainforest canopy and visiting a howler monkey sanctuary and Mayan Ruins.  You can travel to Belize with DHS during March Break 2015.  Come out to the parent/student information meeting on Monday April 28th at 7pm in room 107 to learn more about this exciting opportunity.
Apr. 23 The Department of Aboriginal Education at Lakehead University is offering the Honours Bachelor of Education Program which is a four year program with emphasis on teaching Aboriginal children.  Applications are available in the guidance office.
Apr. 23 Potential Grad 12 graduates –You must have a cap & gown to walk across the stage.  Your $25.00 payment and form is due at the office by Friday.

Apr. 23 A Rainy River Community College representative will be here on Tuesday, April 29th @ 9:00 am in the Library.  They will be discussing scholarship opportunities and earning the first 2 years of a University degree.  Any Gr. 11 or 12 students interested can sign up in the GO.
Apr. 23 Grade 12 students applying to universities and colleges outside of Ontario MUST let the guidance office know, or your transcripts will not be sent. Also, please remember to check the DHS website and the binder in the guidance office on a regular basis for the latest scholarships and bursaries.
