Mar 17 The 5th Annual Aboriginal Science fair is just around the corner.  If you are of Aboriginal Ancestry, First Nations, Metis or Inuit and are interested in entering the regional science fair in Thunder Bay April 10 and 11, please pick up the information in the guidance office and if you have questions please see Mrs. Ambridge.
Mar 17 This message is for all grade 9 and 10 Aboriginal students.  If you are First Nations, Metis or Inuit, you are eligible to travel to the University of Waterloo on May 4-9.  Applications are in the guidance office.  Deadline for the applications is Wed. March 19, 2014.  There are 5 seats available so get your applications in early.
Mar 17 Grade 12 graduation picture re-takes will the week of March 25.  Remember you must register on-line to book your appointment.  Come to the office for the information.
Mar 17  Whether you are a high school student needing your 40 volunteer hours to graduate or just someone who needs\wants something to do with your time, The Dryden Mission would love to have you as a volunteer!  They have tons of things to do to help with the community.  Snow shoveling, sorting items for Africa, cleaning, sorting and displaying new donated items, or just hanging out with great people, the Dryden Mission wants to give you that opportunity.  Please come to the office for contact info.

Mar 17 There are summer job opportunities for students with the Ontario Public Service.
Mar 17 The Ontario Educational Leadership Centre is offering several leadership courses this summer.   Students will develop leadership skills through their choice of courses such as music, the arts, athletics or French.
Mar 17 The University of Winnipeg is hosting the High School Enrichment Program from April 29 – May 2.
Mar 17 Grade 12 students applying to universities and colleges outside of Ontario MUST let the guidance office know, or your transcripts will not be sent. Also, please remember to check the DHS website and the binder in the guidance office on a regular basis for the latest scholarships and bursaries.
