Morning Announcements – Friday, January 17th, 2014

Jan. 17 Term 2 student timetables will be handed out in your block A class today.  If you have a spare block A, please pick it up at the office.
Jan 17 The University of Toronto is committed to enhancing educational opportunities for Aboriginal youth.  As a result, a SOAR program during the March break of 2014 is being offered.  The program is at U of T – for more information please pick up an application form and a brochure in the Guidance Office.  The deadline to apply is Jan. 31, 2014.
Jan 17 Safe Grad Students – If you need more tickets to sell or have your sold booklets to hand in, please come to the office for contact information.
Jan 17 Vermilion Bay Nursery School is looking for volunteers to help with activities at the Kid’s Carnival on February 15th. For contact information please stop by main office or guidance office.
Jan. 17 – 31 The Centre will be having the Blackie and Rodeo King events sponsored by World Vision Canada on Feb. 4th and they are looking for 2 volunteers to assist at the Sponsorship table.  Volunteers must be 16 years or over and will also be able to see the show.   Please come to the office for more information.
Jan 17 The University of Winnipeg is hosting the High School Enrichment Program from April 29 – May 2.  Interested students please stop by the guidance office for more information.
Jan 17 The Northwest Catholic District School Board is preparing to run the Grade 10 Religious Education eLearning course.  This course is open to all high school students.  There are no prerequisites and it is worth 1 high school credit.  For more information stop by the guidance office.
Jan 17 Yearbooks can be picked up at the office.
Jan 17 Grade 12 students applying to universities and colleges outside of Ontario MUST let the guidance office know, or your transcripts will not be sent. Also, please remember to check the DHS website and the binder in the guidance office on a regular basis for the latest scholarships and bursaries.
