Morning Announcements – December 2, 2013

Dec. 2 THE GSA meeting will take place this week on Thursday at lunch in the upper video conference room.  There will be no meeting on Monday – sorry for the switch!


There will be an OSAID meeting this Tuesday at lunch in the upper video conference room.  All members are asked to attend.

Dec. 2 The girls hockey team defeated the Saint Thomas Aquinas Saints last night by a score of 7 – 1.  Leading the way with two goals apiece were Shelby Tourond and Leah Balla.  Also scoring were Rachel Getson, Liv Carter and Jess Carter while Martina Wintle had 4 assists.  CJ Jolicouer earned the win in net.  The girls host the QE Warriors this Wednesday at 7:00 pm.
Dec. 2 Your pre-ordered Eagle’s jackets are in.  Please come to room 118 at the beginning of lunch to pick them up.
Dec. 2 You can now sign out the ping pong table at lunch.  Get your paddles and ping pong ball at the Eagle’s Nest.  Just bring a piece of ID as a deposit.
Dec. 2 – 9 There will be no sexual health clinic today or next Monday.  If you need to see a health nurse, please go to the Health Unit.
Dec. 2 – 4th This is last call for all Gr. 11 & 12 students wanting to travel to the University of Waterloo Directions Aboriginal Conference scheduled for Feb. 23 – 28th, 2014.  Applications are available in the GO and they must be in by Wed. Dec. 4th.
Dec. 2 – Dec. 4th The annual Eagle’s Nest parent shopping night will be happening this Wednesday from 6 – 9 pm.  This is a great opportunity for your parents to get their Christmas shopping out of the way and also a great opportunity to get all of your Eagles wear!
Dec. 2-3 Lakehead University is preparing for its 2013 Fall Preview Days on Tuesday, December 3rd.  This event is open to grade 12 students, their family and friends.  Registration information is available in the GO.
Dec. 2 Grade 12 students applying to universities and colleges outside of Ontario MUST let the guidance office know, or your transcripts will not be sent. Also, please remember to check the DHS website and the binder in the guidance office on a regular basis for the latest scholarships and bursaries.
