Morning Announcements – Wednesday, October 23rd, 2013

Oct. 23 Eagle athletes who still have Eagles cards are to return them to the office or Mr. Zilkalns.  Athletes who have earned prizes are to go to the Phys Ed office.
Oct. 23 – Nov. 5 The AA Bantom Hockey League is looking for volunteers to help with their Dryden tournament the weekend of Nov. 8th.  There are sign-up sheets at the office to work the clock and the door.
Oct. 23 – 25 Dryden GM will be looking for community support to help raise funds for a new tire machine for Dryden High School.   On October 25th and 26th   “DRIVE FOR A CAUSE” will be taking place at Dryden GM on Government Street.  All you have to do is go down to Dryden GM and take a vehicle for a test drive.  The goal is for 200 test drives to take place over 2 days.  Every test drive taken generates dollars that will be matched by GM’s corporate office.  So come on out and support this fundraising activity for DHS.
Oct. 23 Grade 12 students applying to universities and colleges outside of Ontario MUST let the guidance office know, or your transcripts will not be sent. Also, please remember to check the DHS website and the binder in the guidance office on a regular basis for the latest scholarships and bursaries.
Oct. 23 The Gay-Straight Alliance meeting will be tomorrow at lunch in the upper video conference room.
Oct. 23 Picture re-takes will be on Wednesday, November 6th.
Oct. 23 The Ukrainian Hall is looking for student volunteers to help at this Friday’s dinner- You would get approximately 5 volunteer hours.  If you are interested you can go to the guidance office
Oct. 23 Student ID cards can be picked up at the office on the break, providing your student fees have been paid.
Oct. 23 Football players from this year’s team are to come to a meeting today at 11:30 in Room 138.
Oct. 23 Any students interested in purchasing a class ring are asked to pick up a brochure at the Office.   A sales associate from Jostens will be here on OCTOBER 29th & 30th for the ring fittings.
