Sept. 18 The girls and boys golf teams had another good day on the links bringing home the NorWOSSA gold medals yesterday.  Kirk Markowski won the NorWOSSA individual gold medal with Josh Kitt capturing silver.
Sept. 18 Students interested in helping sell poppies for the Royal Canadian Legion are asked to sign up in the guidance office.  This is a great way to earn volunteer hours.
Sept. 18 Community badminton is tonight at 6:30 here at DHS.  Anyone can come.  Please bring a racquet for a smashing good time.
Sept. 18 In order to receive your note books, the digital technology student user agreement form must be completed & turned in to the main office as soon as possible.
Sept. 18 Picture day is coming to DHS on October 3rd.  All students must have a photo taken for a photo i.d. card and the yearbook.  If you are ordering a picture package, please bring your cheque or money on picture day to give directly to the photographer.
Sept. 18 Lakehead University representatives will be here at DHS today at 9:00 a.m. in the library.  Please sign up in the guidance office if you are interested in attending.  Algoma University will also be at DHS today at 2:00 p.m. in the library.  Sign up in the guidance office please.
Sept. 18 The Northwest Catholic District School Board is preparing to offer the Grade 10 Religious Education Course.  This is an open course with no pre-requisites required, worth 1 credit.  Students in Grades 9 to 12 are welcome to sign up.  Classes will be held at St. Joseph’s School, one night weekly for three hours to a total of 110 hours.  Anyone interested in taking the course should sign up at the Guidance Office by 3:00 o’clock on Friday, September 21st.
Sept. 18 Every Monday, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., a nurse from the Northwestern Health Unit is running a sexual health clinic at DHS.  All appointments are confidential.  New and walk in appointments are welcome.
