Morning Announcements – June 12, 2012

June 12 Be sure to congratulate the Eagles Track and Field Athletes who competed at OFSAA track and field in Brockville Ontario last week.  Andie Wood, Emily Plett, Jake Wickstrom and Shane Kirton set 6 new DHS records and one new NWOSSAA record in 7 events over three days.  Each of these DHS Eagles are now ranked amongst the top 24 athletes in the province in their respective events.  Congratulations for an amazing performance from DHS’s team in just its first year as a team.
June 12 The Ricoh Printer in the library is no longer working.  Please do not send any print jobs to it.
June 12 Attention All Students:  Please make sure you empty your locker and take your lock home for the summer.  Any locks left behind will be removed, as custodial staff will be washing out all lockers next week.  Your locker will be re-assigned to you when you register in the fall.
June 12 Mrs. Ambridge will be in room 136 today at lunch for those students needing computer time.
June 12 Students using school laptops are reminded to return the laptop to Mrs. Jones in the Student Resource Centre before Wednesday, June 13.
June 12 Hey Eagles.  Are you graduating?  Have you got any Eagles Wear to proudly show where you went to school when you walk out the doors of DHS for the last time?  Come to the Eagles Nest and pick something up today.
June 12 New Prospect School is looking for volunteers for this Friday from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. to paint faces, help with a “hair salon”, run games, etc.  Come to the office for more information.
June 12 The Friendship Centre is looking for 5 volunteers to cook fish on June 20th.  Please call Frances at 223-4180.
June 12 Girls & boys soccer players are to return any DHS uniforms to the Phys. Ed. office with your name attached before exams.
June 12 Organizers for the Canada Day Triathlon are looking for some volunteers to help out with Triathlon events.  For more information please call Cindy Smith 223-8876.
June 12 For any students looking for some volunteer hours at the beginning of the school year, the office is looking for students to help with our locker assignment for a few days from August  21st – 24th.
June 12 Stop by the guidance office to check out Summer Credit opportunities at Dryden High School.  You can choose between Independent Study Course, eLearning and/or Summer Co-op.  Be sure to sign up quickly as space fills up.
June 12 The Angler and Young Angler are looking for volunteers for June 23.  They are looking for dock hands, cooks and other help.  If interested, please sign up in the guidance office.
