Morning Announcements – April 17, 2012

Apr. 17 Good luck to our badminton teams travelling to Thunder Bay later today to compete in NWOSSAA tomorrow morning.  All Badminton players should be out of their lockers in the change rooms by the end of the day today.  All garbage in the garbage cans too – leave the lock in the locker.
Apr. 17 Anybody interested in entering a team into the Relay for Life, please come to a meeting tonight @ 7:00 p.m. in the DHS library.
Apr. 17 There will be a boy’s and girl’s golf team meeting tomorrow, Wednesday, April 18 at 11:30 in room 119.
Apr. 17 The Canadian Cancer Society is looking for volunteers to help with an upcoming fundraiser.  They are looking for students to help set up, serving and kitchen help.  For more information, call JoAnne at 223-2471 or stop by the guidance office.
Apr. 17 Volunteers are needed from June 15th – 17th for the Shaw Walleye Masters Tournament.  Stop by the guidance office for more information.
Apr. 17 Attention Grade 11 & 12 students.  There is a tour of Seven Generations Education Institute in Fort Frances on April 19th – that’s this Thursday.  Space is limited.  Learn about Police Foundations, Teaching, Social Work & Culinary Programs.  Please sign up in the guidance office.
Apr. 17 Attention Potential Grade 12 Grads:  Cap & gown order forms are available in the main office – these must be filled in & returned to the main office with $25.00 by April 20th.  If you’re not planning to attend the ceremony, you still need to fill in a form.  If you are attending the grad ceremony, a cap & gown must be ordered & worn.
Apr. 17 Brochures & information pamphlets are in the Phys. Ed. office for anybody interested in going to various summer camps for sports this summer.
Apr. 17 A reminder to Grade 12 students to check out the latest bursaries and scholarships at dhseagles.com then click on the guidance tab.
Apr. 17 For a limited time, Grade 12 Cosmetology Students are selling flat irons and curling irons.  Place an order with any Grade 12 Cosmo student or see Mrs. Durocher in room 124A.
Apr. 17 Canadian Blood Services is asking for 30 students and staff to rally together to save lives by donating blood at DHS on Tuesday, May 8 – 12:00 – 3:00 and 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.  There are 30 appointment spots to fill between 12:30 & 1:30 p.m.  Those wishing to donate at other times or for other information can call 1-888-2-DONATE (1-888-236-6283).  A single donation can help up to three people, so every donor counts.  Sign up is here in the main office. 
April 17 All those students who signed up to volunteer @ the Home & Trade show Relay for Life booth this weekend, please meet @ the booth @ the arena @  the time you indicated on the sheet.  Thank you for volunteering.
