Morning Announcements – Feb. 27, 2012

Feb. 27 The girls hockey team split their first two games against Fort Frances.  Scoring for the Eagles in a 6 – 4 loss Friday night were Morgan Church, Claire Paquette, Kristen Bartlett and Liv Carter.  The Eagles bounced back with a 5 – 1 win Sunday afternoon in Fort Frances scoring three goals on the power play.  Scoring for the Eagles were Amy Doudiet, Morgan Church, Ashley Kropelin, Claire Paquette and Kristen Bartlett.  Come cheer on the girls Tuesday night for game #3.  Puck drop is at 6:30.
Feb. 27 Just a reminder of the SAVE meeting today at 3:10 in the library.  Come out and help plan Pink Day 2012.  Also a great way to earn some volunteer hours.
Feb. 27 The Dryden Rotary Club is once again sponsoring Adventures in Technology, which is a 6 day event running from Sunday April 29th to Saturday May 4th, 2012.  One DHS student will be chosen to join students from across Western Canada for an intense exploration of advanced technology, research development and applications.  This is a highly academic program having students visit some of Canada’s finest corporations and research facilities.  If you would like to be considered for this program or wish to nominate another student, please forward the name to Guidance.  Deadline for applications is Wed., March 14th.  For more information, contact Guidance.
