Morning Announcements – November 14, 2011

Nov. 14 Congratulations to all the Eagles teams who participated in the playoffs last Thursday.  Senior & Junior Boys Volleyball & Senior Girls Basketball teams all claimed gold.  Thank you to all the fans & cheerleaders who came out to support our teams & to Mr. Darling & the Comm. Tech. students who worked the cameras & machines for the live webcasting.
Nov. 14 A reminder of the SAVE meeting tonight in the art room at 3:10.  New members welcome!  A great way to earn some volunteer hours!
Nov. 11 & 14 There will be a meeting for Senior Boys Basketball players interested in trying out today at 12:00 in room 205.
Nov. 14 Students interested in playing Jr. Boys Basketball are to attend a pre-season meeting today at 12 noon in room 109.  First try outs will be on Tuesday the 15th and Wednesday the 16th after school.  Please contact Mr. P. Darling for more information.
Nov. 14 – 16 Junior girls volleyball tryouts run this week on Monday, Tues. & Wed at 5:00 until 6:30 and Thurs. at 3:30  See Mr. Desautels if you can’t make tryout practice.
Nov. 14 Sunset Country Heritage Music Association is in need of volunteers to help serve food & help with clean up for their Christmas dinner & dance @ the Legion on Saturday, December 3rd from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.  Contact Mervin @ 216-8319
Nov. 14 The Vermilion Bay Happy Go Lucky Seniors Centre is in need of volunteers for a Bake Sale on Nov. 26th from 11:00 – 1:30.  Please call 227-5375
Nov. 14 MOTUS O dance theatre is auditioning for”  “A CHRISTMAS CAROL” which will be performed at the Dryden Regional Training and Cultural Centre on Dec. 6 @ 7:00 p.m.  This is your chance to perform alongside professional actors and dancers from MOTUS O dance theatre – Ontario Artists of the Year 2010!  If you’re interested in auditioning, here’s what you need to know:  Audition Location is Dryden Regional Training and Cultural Centre on Sat., Nov. 19 from 9:00 – 5:00 and Sun., Nov. 20th from 9:00 – 5:00.  For Audition Requirements please come to the main office for this information.
Nov. 14 Festival of Trees to support Grace Haven is looking for student volunteers to help with moving, decorating, set up, serving coffee & tea and the special events help.  Come to the office for more information.  (221-2233)
