Morning Announcements – Nov. 8th, 2011

Nov. 8 MOTUS O dance theatre is auditioning for”  “A CHRISTMAS CAROL” which will be performed at the Dryden Regional Training and Cultural Centre on Dec. 6 @ 7:00 p.m.  This is your chance to perform alongside professional actors and dancers from MOTUS O dance theatre – Ontario Artists of the Year 2010!  If you’re interested in auditioning, here’s what you need to know:  Audition Location is Dryden Regional Training and Cultural Centre on Sat., Nov. 19 from 9:00 – 5:00 and Sun., Nov. 20th from 9:00 – 5:00.  For Audition Requirements please come to the main office for this information.
Nov. 8 The Nordic Ski Team will be starting its dry land training very soon and we’re looking for new members.  If you think you have a good level of aerobic fitness and are interested in skate skiing, come out to our startup meeting today at the beginning of lunch in room 137.  If you have never skied before or don’t have any equipment, that doesn’t matter!  Come out today or contact Mr. Schmidt for more details.
Nov. 8 All wrestlers are reminded that the 1st practice is today in the cafeteria after school.  If you signed up – be there!
Nov. 8 – 10 Any students interested in working at Eagles hockey, the season is just around the corner.  Timekeepers and help at the ticket table are required.  See Mr. Zilkalns or Mrs. Gardam if you want to help.  Training is provided & is quick.
Nov. 8 Festival of Trees to support Grace Haven is looking for student volunteers to help with moving, decorating, set up, serving coffee & tea and the special events help.  Come to the office for more information.  (221-2233)
Nov. 8 Students are reminded to return a copy of their IEP (Individual Education Plan) signed by a parent or guardian to the Student Resource Centre as soon as possible.
Oct. 24 – Nov. 8 Photo Retake day is tomorrow starting at 9:00 a.m.  If you did not get your picture taken yet, or if you are unhappy with your photo results, you can have your photo taken again.  The photographers do not reshoot students who had their pictures done but did not purchase a package unless you are paying for a new package.
Nov. 8 Grade 12 students are encouraged to check out the high school website for the latest scholarships and bursaries.  Stop by the guidance office for more information.
Nov. 8 Grade 12 students applying to universities and colleges outside of Ontario, MUST let the guidance office know, or transcripts will not be sent.
