Morning Announcements – September 12, 2011

Sept. 12 The Eagles football team dropped its opener 33 – 6 to the Elmwood Giants on Friday.  Facing many challenges, the team showed improvement over the contest & looks forward to hosting Daniel Mac.  Shane Kirton scored the lone DHS touchdown while on defense, Caine Benham had 9 tackles with Tanner Russell adding 4 tackles & 2 sacks.
Sept. 12 The boy’s golf team kicked off their NorWossa season in impressive fashion placing first in Dryden on Friday by a convincing margin of 27 strokes, while sweeping the top three individual places.  Josh Kitt was first overall, followed by Cam Zapitelli in second and Josh Brunton in third.
Sept. 12 – 13 Do you like science?  Have you been to con camp, & liked it?  Do you like working in a team?  If you answered yes to any of these questions, then maybe you should see what envirothon is all about.  Come to our first meeting on Tuesday at 11:30 in room 107.
Sept. 12 There will be an information meeting on Wed. Sept. 14 at 11:30 in Mrs. Ambridge’s classroom downstairs.  It is for any students interested in travelling to Waterloo with her.

Sept. 12 Community Integration Service is looking for people to assist bowlers on Wednesday afternoons from 1 – 3 p.m. for Special Olympics.  If you have a spare during this time and would like to help them out come to the main office for more information.
Sept. 12 Dryden Ice Dogs Team is also looking for volunteers to help out at their hockey games.  There is a sign-up sheet here in the main office.
