Morning Announcements – June 7th, 2011

June 7 Grade 12 students planning to attend Lakehead University this fall, there is an early orientation on July 8th & 9th.  You can check out the campus, meet faculty and staff or learn about their support services.  For more information or to sign up, stop by the guidance office.
June 7 Reminder to all athletes to get your tickets for the Banquet this Thursday.  Tickets are $10 each & parents are welcome to attend too.  Tickets are on sale in the Phys. Ed. office or main office.
June 7 All soccer players:  please have your lockers cleaned out by today at 12:30 including all garbage in the cans.  Please leave the locks on the lockers.
June 7 Mrs. Meadows’ ENG 4U0 class is to sign in today at the office.
June 7 A reminder to Mr. Chasowy’s Grade 11 History class:  You are to meet in the library at lunch for class.
June 7 There will be an important wrap-up meeting for all con-camp participants on Thursday at lunch in the library.  This should not be more than 30 minutes if everyone is there on time.
June 7 Fourteen Bursaries of $500.00 or $1000.00 are available to be won, and the opportunity to save lives this summer from June 1 to Sept. 3, 2011.  Last year one of 2 qualifying students won a bursary of $500 – $1000.  Applications and information are available in the guidance office.
June 7 Students who have been given coop applications to fill out are reminded that they are to be returned to the coop office as soon as possible.
June 7 The Newfoundland and Labrador Heritage Club of Dryden has extended the deadline for bursary applications to Friday, June 10.  Please stop by the guidance office for more information.
June 7 Here is another opportunity to get more volunteer hours if needed.  Helpers are needed at a Volunteer Appreciation Tea on June 10 between 1:00 p.m. & 5:00 p.m. at the Legion Hall.  Please call Brenda Schmucker at 223-7407 if you can help them out.
June 7 Grade 12 students, if you are planning to take the following postsecondary courses this fall:  justice system, police foundations, social work, law or politics, then stop by the guidance office for bursary information.
June 7 Attention to students who have not yet returned the green Consent to Release Personal Information form that was in with your report cards, please return this form as soon as possible.  Without this consent form, your picture will not be in the yearbook.  If you need a form, there are extras here in the main office.
