May 6 A reminder to golf team members to hand in their permission forms to Mr. Markowski in the coop office or to the main office.
May 6 Reminder to Reading Eagles – White Pine wind-up meeting is today at 11:30 in the library.
May 6 Grade 12 students are encouraged to check out the Local Scholarship & Bursary site for new bursaries and updated information.
May 6 Safe Grad Garage Sale set-up is at 3:10 until 9:30 tonight.  The sale is tomorrow from 8:00 until 12:00.  Volunteer hours & Safe Grad Points are available.
May 6 The Dryden Native Friendship Centre will be hosting a Youth Leadership and Career Development Forum Tues. May 17 and Wed. May 18 at the Centre.  Lunch and Snacks will be provided.  Registration packages are in the Guidance Office.  For more information see Mrs. Ambridge or Terra Ambridge.
May 2 – 6 The Dryden & District Agricultural Society will be hosting a garage sale today & tomorrow.  This is a perfect opportunity for students still needing some volunteer hours.  If you would like to volunteer to help set up this week, please come to the main office for more information.  (Call 223-6766/email info@drydenfair.ca for times)
April, May Canadian Blood Services is asking for 40 students and staff to help hospital patients by donating blood at DHS on Mon., May 9, from 4:00 -8:00 p.m. and Tues., May 10 from 12:00 – 3:00 and 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.  There are 40 appointment spots to fill between 12:30 and 2:00 p.m.  Those wishing to donate at other times or for other information can call 1-888-2-DONATE.  A single donation can help up to three people, so every donor counts!
May 6 The Dryden Ball Diamonds Committee is looking for some student volunteers to help with set up today, serving dinner tomorrow and then take down on Sun. for the Annual Chamber Business Excellence Awards Dinner.  Please come to the main office for more information if you are interested.
May 6 Grade 12 graduating students…graduation is less than 2 months away.  Orders for your cap and gown can be  placed here in the office.  $25.00 will reserve a cap and gown…a requirement for walking across the stage.  If you are choosing not to attend the graduation ceremonies, a form must be filled out indicating a cap and gown will not be required.  Deadline is April 21st.
May 6 Attention to students who have not yet returned the green Consent to Release Personal Information form that was in with your report cards, please return this form as soon as possible.  Without this consent form, your picture will not be in the yearbook.  If you need a form, there are extras here in the main office.
