Morning Announcements – April 7, 2011

April 7 Congratulations to yesterday’s badminton qualifiers.  10 juniors and 9 seniors qualified for next Wednesday’s NorWOSSA here at DHS.  Come cheer on your badminton team.
April 7 A reminder to Mr. Oltsher’s Hockey/Soccer class that we are to meet in the Library @ 11:35 for class today.
April 7 Attention Coop Students.  There is an in-class reflection day today in Room 119.
April 7 – 13 Any First Nations or Métis students who are interested in touring Lakehead University and Confederation College in Thunder Bay on April 18 & 19 are to sign up on the list in the office.  If interested, please let the office know by Wed., April 13th.
April 7 Grade 12 students:  the local scholarships and bursaries site is now open.  Go to dhseagles.com and follow the links.
April 7 To students having grad photo retakes – please remember to bring your proofs or you will have to pay again.
April 7 The 2011 Dryden Sports & Home Show organizers are looking for 4 – 6 students to help out from April 12 – 16.  Volunteers are required for the following:  show set-up, show greeters, show take-down & the Red Cross booth.  For more information come to the main office.
April 7 There will be a Thrive meeting period 4 on Friday for all students interested in planning and fundraising for the pow wow.  Please sign up in the main office before Friday.
April 7 Grade 12 graduating students…graduation is less than 3 months away.  Orders for your cap and gown can be  placed here in the office.  $25.00 will reserve a cap and gown…a requirement for walking across the stage.  If you are choosing not to attend the graduation ceremonies, a form must be filled out indicating a cap and gown will not be required.
April 7 Attention to students who have not yet returned the green Consent to Release Personal Information form that was in with your report cards, please return this form as soon as possible.  Without this consent form, your picture will not be in the yearbook.  If you need a form, there are extras here in the main office.
