Morning Announcements – Jan. 13, 2011

Jan. 13 A big congratulations goes out to ALL of the members of the Eagles Nordic Ski Team for a great race at the NorWOSSA finals yesterday at the Dryden Ski Hill.  The Eagles swept the senior boys category with Kjell Schmidt, Nathan Mallyon and Garrett Lindquist taking the gold silver and bronze respectively.  In the junior boys category, the Eagles also soared high with Adrian Lizzi taking the bronze and Eric Schmidt taking the silver.
Jan. 13 There will be a brief but mandatory ski team meeting @ 11:30 in room 137.
Jan. 13 Mr. Darling’s Environmental Science class is reminded that class today is at lunch in room 136.
Jan. 13 The 1st Annual Kids Northern Lights Karaoke Contest will take place on February 6, 2011.  Registration & practice will be 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Contest will be from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.  Registration fee is 3:00 per child, per week to qualify for the semi-finals.  Each Sunday afternoon family and friends will vote 2 kids for each category.  For more information look for posters in the school or the web site is KNLkaraoke contest @hotmail.ca
Jan. 13 Thrive Group is having another Taco-In-A-Bag & pop sale on Friday the 14th at 11:30.
Jan. 12, 13 A reminder to students that there is no student parking at the back parking lot.  Non-staff or visitor vehicles will be towed at the owner’s expense.
Jan. 12 – 14 To all athletes who were given yellow tickets to sell, please sell them & turn the money & stubs in to your coach this week.
Jan. 13 Volunteers are needed to work the door selling tickets for Eagles hockey Friday, Jan 14th & Sunday, Jan. 16th.  If you would like to help, please see Mr. Zilkalns or Mrs. Gardam in the Phys. Ed. office.
Jan. 13 Attention to students who have not yet returned the green Consent to Release Personal Information form that was in with your report cards, please return this form as soon as possible.  Without this consent form, your picture will not be in the yearbook.  If you need a form, there are extras here in the main office.
Jan. 13 With Songs like Don’t Stop Believing, Dude Looks Like a Lady and Go Daddy O, the Grade 9, 10, 11 &12 Music classes Rocked the Night Away!  A huge congratulation goes out to all the Rock Stars for a job extremely well done!!!
