Morning Announcements – Oct. 22, 2010

Oct. 22 Canadian Blood Services is asking for over 35 students and staff to help hospital patients by donating blood at DHS on Nov. 3 from 4:30 – 9:00 and Thurs. Nov. 4 from 12:00 – 3:00 & 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.  There are 35 appointment spots to fill between 12:30 and 2:00 p.m.  Those wishing to donate at other times or for other information can call 1-888-2-DONATE.  A single donation can help up to three people, so every donation counts!
Oct. 22 For those students who participated in Hoops for Heart last year – Mrs. Gardam is waiting for you in room 117 right now.
Oct. 22 Grade 12 students are encouraged to check out the bulletin board and binder in the guidance office for the latest scholarships and bursaries.
Oct. 22 Any Eagle athletes still owing Eagle Cards or money, must hand them in to Mr. Zilkalns, Mrs. Gardam or the main office this week.
Oct. 14 – 27 Need to earn an extra credit?  There will be a Religious Education Course offered after school.  The course will run one to two times a week between October 27 and June 1.  Please sign up in the guidance office to register.
Oct. 22 This year at the Festival of Trees there will be a “Dryden Kids Have Talent” Show.  It will be Nov. 27th at 6:30 p.m. at The Centre.  You can sing, dance, perform magic, or tell jokes.  Come to the main office for a registration form.  It will be limited entries, so sign up early.  There will be a $5.00 minimum donation to Grace Haven per entry.
