54th DHS Conservation Camp

The 54th annual Conservation Camp is under way at Dryden High School. The camp started on Tuesday, June 1 with activities in Orienteering, Water Sampling, Site Mapping, Benthic Invertebrate identification, Tree Identification, Shrub and Forest plant identification.

Camp continues Wednesday with a visit to an active logging site and training from Dryden’s forest firefighters. Camp will conclude on Thursday with a culminating task at Aaron Park.

This year, Conservation Camp includes 24 DHS students and 12 Queen Elizabeth students, all from grade 10.

Conservation Camp is running for its 54th year. DHS thanks all of its industry partners for their support of this valuable educational experience.
