DHS Students attend Sustainable Communities Conference

Envirothon group members from DHS were presenters at the Sustainable Communities in the North conference  last week in Thunder Bay.  Their presentation was a response to the effect of Peak Oil on Dryden, and possible solutions to the problem.

The students were excellent ambassadors for DHS, and set the bar with the production and presentation of the video shown above.

Michelle Arseneault, Jasmine Traini, Vaneesha Mashru and Reanne Dick say that they would like to share the video with all who are interested. They hope to present it to the Dryden Community Matters group, the City of Dryden Mayor and Council and the Minister of Northern Development, Mines and Forestry.

Sarah Wintle, a DHS Graduate and Masters student at LU also presented her research relating to food sustainability in the north – a great example of a DHS alum working for positive change in the world!

Thanks for representing DHS. We are proud of your efforts to make the world a better place!
