DHS Students attend Envirothon Workshop
Envirothon team members Dion Deserre, Michelle Arsenault and Reanne Dick along with Mrs. Kathy Boone at the Vernon Trails in Kenora.
Three DHS students, accompanied by KPDSB Environmental SAT Mrs. Boone attended an Envirothon Workshop at the Vernon Trails system in Kenora on Thursday.
Envirothon team member Michelle Arsenault said “The Vernon Nature Area is a unique area that links three very diverse vegetation zones found within Canada. Five kilometres of designated trails acquainted the DHS Envirothon Team with the transition zone between the Boreal Forest Region, the St. Lawrence-Great Lakes Forest Region and the Prairie Grasslands.”
