Morning Announcements – Oct. 8, 2009

Oct. 8 Students who didn’t get their yearbooks yesterday, can pick them up in room 126 at lunch only (not during class time).
Oct. 8 There will be a brief cheerleading meeting today at lunch in room 116 and a practice on Friday morning at 6:50 in the big gym.
Oct. 7 – 9 Graduating students are needed to sell Safe Grad tickets on Saturday October 10th, Friday October 23rd, and Saturday October 24th at Wal-Mart and IGA.  Please note that there must be an adult present at all times.  For more information, please
Oct. 7, 8 Professor Harold Hill’s in town, Dryden High’s gonna have a boys band and by golly she needs it today.  That’s right, we are putting on the Music Man and you can be a part of it.  If you think you want to act, sing or dance in this musical, then come watch the movie on Thursday after school.  Stay tuned for announcements about auditions.
Oct. 7 – 9 Are you hungry?  Are you craving an Indian Taco?  Well, we’ve got the solution.  Indian tacos & assorted baking are being sold this Friday out of room 124 – the foods room.  They are going for the low, low price of $4.00, $1.00 for pop & .25 cents for baking.  See you there.  Bring your appetite.
Oct. 7 – 9 Grade 10, 11 and 12 students interested in learning about the Rotary Exchange Program are invited to attend an information meeting on Friday, October 9 at 9:00 a.m. in the school library.  Students will be called down and attendance will be taken.
Oct. 6 – 8 There will be a brief boys hockey meeting today @ 11:30 in room 210.
Oct. 6 – 8 Eagles athletes who’ve sold their Eagle cards completely, can turn in their money to Mr. Zilkalns or Mrs. Gardam in the Phys. Ed. office.
Oct. 6 – 23 If you would like to order a picture package from your student card picture, pick up an order form and phone number to call in the main office.  You must pay your student fee in order to receive your student card. Picture retake day is Friday October 23rd.
Oct. 2 – 23 The Children’s Resource Centre is looking for student volunteers.  For more information come to the m.o.
Oct. 7 – 16 Attention Graduating Students.  If you are interested in ordering a grad ring this year, representatives from Intergold will be at DHS on Oct. 20th & 21st.  Sign up in the main office for a fitting & pick up a brochure.
Sept. 30 – Oct. 15 Rotary International is offering a program for qualifying grade 11 & 12 students that are interested in Agriculture.  This opportunity includes an all expenses paid trip to Regina from November 25 – 29.  Deadline to apply is October 16th.  See Mr. Desautels in the guidance office for more details.
