The Junior Boys Basketball team fell 48-11 vs. the Fort Frances Muskies. The boys were outmuscled offensively by a strong Fort Frances team, but stayed in the game to the end. “It was our first game back after a 20 day break and the results were discouraging but not alarming” said Coach Darling, “We got big minutes from a lot of our first year players, and they will continue to improve as the season progresses.”
The Senior Girls Volleyball team won their game in three straight, 25-17-25-11 and 25-17.
The Junior Girls Volleyball team fell to the Fort Frances Muskies in five games. The Eagles took the first two sets 25-11 and 25-22, but were edged out by the Muskies for the next three, falling 23-25, 23-25 and 12-15.
The Senior Boys Basketball team put in a strong effort, but fell to the Muskies 41-29. “It was our best effort of the year. I was proud of the way the guys competed until the end.” said Coach Lalonde, “Were we shorthanded with only 8 guys playing. The guys did a good job of managing the game. We still want to improve on our aggressiveness on offense and look to take the open shot.”
