Tuesday Court Sport Results

The Eagles court sport teams headed down the highway Tuesday for their last games of the regular season.

The Senior Girls basketball team squeezed by Kenora for a 34-31 victory. Coach Lalonde said that “We played really well with only 8 players.  We worked on a few changes that we plan to use in the playoffs.  It was a nice win to finish off the regular season.  But it all means nothing come Nov 12th.  Win and you are in, lose and your season is over!”

The Junior Girls breezed past the Broncos on their way to a 45-27 win.

Coach Benson said that the game was “a positive boost going into the playoffs. The team was suffering the ill effects of the cold and flu season but battled through to a convincing 45 -27 victory. Playing in the Beaver Brae gym at the end of a very long day in front of a big Kenora crowd proved to be a challenge. We are hoping that the experience will carry us over to the playoffs and success once again in the Broncos’ gym.”

In volleyball, the powerhouse Juniors dispatched Beaver Brae in straight sets 25-15, 25-15 and 25-12. The Seniors had a tougher time, falling in three 25-18, 25-15 and 25-19.

The Eagles return to Kenora Thursday for the NorWossa finals.

Good luck Eagles!
