Morning Announcements – Sept. 30, 2011

Sept. 30 The Eagles football team travelled to Winnipeg Thursday to face the undefeated Sisler Spartans.  Dryden moved the ball well most of the day and took a 1 – 0 lead early.  Sisler battled hard and scored on a few long plays to build a comfortable lead in spite of 4 fumbles caused by the Eagles defense.  The final score was 21 – 1 Sisler.  With the tough part of the schedule done, the Eagles look forward to Homecoming next Friday vs. the Tec Voc Hornets.
Sept. 30 There will be a brief but important meeting for all members of the boys hockey team today @ 11:40 in room 208.

Sept. 30 IMPACT Theatre is looking for adults and teens who are interested in being involved in a regional film project!  If this is you, we invite you to take part in an Acting and Writing For Film Workshop taking place Friday, Sept. 30 – Sunday, Oct. 2 in Sioux Lookout, led by the Actors Training Centre of Manitoba.  You won’t want to miss this professional level experience!  Talk to Mrs. Bloomfield for details and registration form.
Sept. 30 All Eagles athletes selling Eagle cards are reminded that Blitz night is Monday, Oct. 3rd.  If you have sold all cards and/or want more, you can see Mrs. Gardam or Mr. Zilkalns in the Phys. Ed. office.  Money can be turned in to the Phys. Ed. office.
Sept. 30 The Dryden Mission is looking for volunteers to help with merchandising donations and moving boxes.

Sept. 30 A reminder for those trying out for girls hockey team, you must sign up & pay your 20.00 ice fee at the main office before tryouts begin.
Sept. 30 For students needing some volunteer hours, a political party is looking for help with the provincial election campaign.  The hours would be flexible and would be after school, Saturdays, and Sundays from 1:00 p.m. till 6:00 p.m.  For more information come to the main office.
