Morning Announcements – Sept. 26, 2011

Sept. 26 Behind strong play from the offensive line the Eagles football team recorded their first win on Friday, defeating the St. John’s Tigers 21 – 11.  Jesse Gerula scored 2 touchdowns and Ryan Martel scored as well.  The defense played well throughout, led by Caine Benham’s 14 tackles.  The team travels to Winnipeg on Thursday to face the Sisler Spartans.
Sept. 26 A reminder to golf team members of the tee times after school today.
Sept. 26, 27 There will be a SAVE meeting on Tuesday at 3:10 in the library.  Everyone is welcome to come.
Sept. 26 Dryden Native Friendship Centre will be hosting Traditional Drumming & Teachings with special guest Brad Napish on Monday September 27, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.  Everyone is welcome.  Snacks will be provided.
Sept. 26 Attention athletes on the following teams:  girls basketball, boys volleyball, golf, football, track/running, cheerleaders.  If you did not receive your Eagles cards to sell, please come to the phys. ed. office at 11:30 today to receive yours.
Sept. 26, 27 Dryden’s Rotary International is presenting an information session for next year’s Student Exchange program.  Any student interested in attending school abroad, is invited to attend this information session on Tuesday, Sept. 27th during Period 4.  Interested students are to attend period 4 class and wait to be called down to the library.
Sept. 26 The Dryden Mission is looking for volunteers to help with merchandising donations and moving boxes.To volunteer or for more information contact Jim or Lois at 223-4313

Sept. 26 For students needing some volunteer hours, a political party is looking for help with the provincial election campaign.  The hours would be flexible and would be after school, Saturdays, and Sundays from 1:00 p.m. till 6:00 p.m.  For more information come to the main office.
