Morning Announcements – Sept. 21, 2011

Sept. 21 – 23 Girls hockey tryouts are October 6th, 7th and 8th.  If you would like to try out, please sign up in the main office.  See Mr. Carter if you would like more information.
Sept. 21 To all those students who have application forms for the Waterloo trip with Mrs. Ambridge, please return them to the main office by Monday or see Mrs. Ambridge if there is going to be a delay.
Sept. 21 Cheerleader team tryouts will continue Friday morning @ 6:50 – see the posters in the student square for the times.
Sept. 19 – 22 Boys hockey tryouts start this weekend.  If you are interested, you must sign up in the main office to be eligible to make the team.  Deadline for sign up is 3:30 on Thursday.
Sept. 19 – 22 Dryden’s Rotary International is presenting an information session for next year’s Student Exchange program.  Any student interested in attending school abroad, is invited to attend this information session on Thursday, September 22nd during Period 4.  Interested students are to attend period 4 class and wait to be called down to the library.
Sept. 21 For students needing some volunteer hours, a political party is looking for help with the provincial election campaign.  The hours would be flexible and would be after school, Saturdays, and Sundays from 1:00 p.m. till 6:00 p.m.  For more information come to the main office.
Sept. 21 The Northwest Catholic District School Board is preparing to offer the Grade 10 Religious Education Course in Dryden.  The availability of the course will depend on sufficient registrants.   Students in Grades 9 to 12 are welcome.  Anyone interested in taking the course should sign up at the Guidance Office by 3:00 o’clock, Friday, September 23, 2011.
Sept. 21 NWHU is looking for students interested in volunteer hours building raised planters for the community gardens in Vermilion Bay.  Please come to the main office for more information.  (227-2088 – Sue Woods)
