Morning Announcements – Sept. 13, 2011

Sept. 13 Hey!  Everyone interested in Drama Club, the second meeting is today at lunch.  Bring your lunch with you and invite your friends.
Sept. 13 – 16 There will be a meeting on Friday, Sept. 16 at 11:30 in Mrs. Ambridge’s classroom for anyone interested in playing broomball this winter.  Tell your friends.
Sept. 13 This is a reminder of the SAVE meeting today in the library at 3:10.  It’s a great way to get volunteer hours.  Hope to see you there.
Sept. 13 Do you like science?  Have you been to con camp, & liked it?  Do you like working in a team?  If you answered yes to any of these questions, then maybe you should see what envirothon is all about.  Come to our first meeting today at 11:30 in room 107.
Sept. 13 There will be an information meeting on Wed. Sept. 14 at 11:30 in Mrs. Ambridge’s classroom downstairs.  It is for any students interested in travelling to Waterloo with her.
Sept. 13 The Northwest Catholic District School Board is preparing to offer the Grade 10 Religious Education Course in Dryden.  This is an open course with no pre-requisites required, worth 1.0 credit.  The availability of the course will depend on sufficient registrants.   Students in Grades 9 to 12 are welcome.  Classes will be held at St. Joseph School, one night weekly for three hours to a total of 110 hours.  Dates and times will be finalized later.  Anyone interested in taking the course should sign up at the Guidance Office by 3:00 o’clock, Friday, September 23, 2011.

Sept. 13 Community Integration Service is looking for people to assist bowlers on Wednesday afternoons from 1 – 3 p.m. for Special Olympics.  If you have a spare during this time and would like to help them out come to the main office for more information.
Sept. 13 Dryden Ice Dogs Team is also looking for volunteers to help out at their hockey games.  There is a sign-up sheet here in the main office.
