Morning Announcements – Oct. 28, 2011

Oct. 28 The Eagles football season ended yesterday with a loss in the quarter finals to the Daniel Mac Maroons.  Patrick Wall & Caine Benham ended their careers by leading the team in tackles while Jeremy Euler did the same with a touchdown.  The players are reminded to take their belongings from their locker & leave behind the equipment.
Oct. 28 Hey MA!  We have a mandatory meeting today at lunch discussing the Glee trip.  Be there or be square.
Oct. 28 Grade 12 potential grads that have not filled out the Safe Grad Survey can fill one out at the office.  Please do this prior to Tuesday, Nov. 1st.
Oct. 28 Reminder to Mr. Gardner’s LNO BO0/CO0 Grade 10/11 Ojibwe class to meet in room 119 at lunch today.
Oct. 24 – Nov. 8 Photo Retake day is November 9th starting at 9:00 a.m.  If you did not get your picture taken yet, or if you are unhappy with your photo results, you can have your photo taken again.  The photographers do not reshoot students who had their pictures done but did not purchase a package unless you are paying for a new package.
Oct. 19 – 28 Someone from Safe Grad will be in the student square  today at 12:00 noon to collect sold Safe Grad Ticket stubs & money and also to distribute Safe Grad tickets to those students who have not received them yet.
Oct. 14 – 28 A reminder to students that Algonquin College will be here today, U of Regina on Oct. 31st, and Rainy River College on Nov. 1st.  Sign up is in the Guidance Office.
Oct. 28 Canadian Blood Services is asking for 35 students and staff to help hospital patients by donating blood at DHS on Monday, October 31st from 4:00 – 8:00 and Tuesday, Nov. 1st from 12:00 – 3:00 and 5:00 – 8:00p.m.  There are 35 appointment spots to fill between 12:25 and 1:45 on Nov. 1st.  Those wishing to donate at other times or for other information can call 1-888-2-DONATE(1-888-236-6283).  Thank you for helping hospital patients in need.  Sign-up is here in the main office.

Oct. 28 Lillian Berg School is looking for some student volunteers to help out with their Spooktacular Halloween Event happening on October 29th from 12:00 noon until 4:00 p.m.  For more information, come to the main office.

Oct. 28 Grade 12 students applying to universities and colleges outside of Ontario, MUST let the guidance office know, or transcripts will not be sent.
