Morning Announcements – Oct. 28, 2010

Oct. 28 Tomorrow is dress up day!  Come to school dressed in your favourite Halloween costumes.  Prizes will be given to all who are dressed up.  Extra prizes will be given out at 11:30 in the student square for special categories.  Happy Halloween!
Oct. 28 – Nov.2 This is a reminder to ALL grade 9 students to return the registration form for participation in the “Take Our Kids To Work Day” by Tuesday, Nov. 2nd to your Block A teacher.
Oct. 27, 28 All interested wrestlers are reminded that practices will begin on Tues. Nov. 2nd.  If you have not signed up yet, see Mr. Walsh in room 113 at lunch.
Oct. 28 Attention Grade 12’s with Safe Grad Tickets – Ticket books must be turned in by Friday November 19th unless you have made other arrangements with Mrs. Griffiths. 
Oct. 28 Mrs. Griffiths will be in the library today at 11:45 until 12:30 to collect sold tickets & money.
Oct. 28 Canadian Blood Services is asking for over 35 students and staff to help hospital patients by donating blood at DHS on Nov. 3 from 4:30 – 9:00 and Thurs. Nov. 4 from 12:00 – 3:00 & 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.  There are 35 appointment spots to fill between 12:30 and 2:00 p.m.  Those wishing to donate at other times or for other information can call 1-888-2-DONATE.  A single donation can help up to three people, so every donation counts!
Oct. 28 Grade 12 students are encouraged to check out the bulletin board and binder in the guidance office for the latest scholarships and bursaries.
Oct. 28 This year at the Festival of Trees there will be a “Dryden Kids Have Talent” Show.  It will be Nov. 27th at 6:30 p.m. at The Centre.  You can sing, dance, perform magic, or tell jokes.  Come to the main office for a registration form.  It will be limited entries, so sign up early.  There will be a $5.00 minimum donation to Grace Haven per entry.
