Morning Announcements – Oct. 13, 2010

Oct. 13 While daily life is happening, your Safe Grad Committee is quietly working in the background to make your Grad as memorable as possible!  Several of your peers have invested time outside of school in order to ensure the party is as great as it can be!  If you see any of the following people, thank them for their efforts!  Jace Kitson, Shad Espiritu, Nate Puddicombe, Shaun Espiritu, Mike Boyko, Carly Oberg, Carly Hammond, Darian Griffiths, Ryan Jaeger, and Danni Moore.  Many of you accepted at least one book of tickets to sell on behalf of your Graduation.  You need to find it and be ready to answer some questions when you get a phone call this week!  Mrs. Griffiths will be at the High School on Thursday at lunch to pick up sold books of tickets.
Oct. 13 Picture day is October 20.  The picture package brochures are here in the main office.  Please pick one up at your earliest convenience.
Oct. 13 The Dryden Swim Club is looking for some student volunteers.  It would be an excellent way to earn volunteer hours.  You would need to go for some timing training on Friday, October 15 from 6:30 until 8:30 & then would be needed for a swim meet on October 16 from 1:15 until 5:00.  For more information,  please come to the main office.
Oct. 13 This year at the Festival of Trees there will be a “Dryden Kids Have Talent” Show.  It will be November 27th at 6:30 p.m. at The Centre.  You can sing, dance, perform magic, or tell jokes.  Come to the main office for a registration form.  It will be limited entries, so sign up early.  There will be a $5.00 minimum donation to Grace Haven per entry.
Oct. 13 Do you want to help the school’s SAVE committee plan a Karaoke night and a school assembly?  If so please come to a SAVE meeting in the library every Wed. at 3:10.  Great way to earn volunteer hours.  Hope to see you there!
Oct. 13 Do you need volunteer hours?  Do you love horses?  Do you want to make a positive impact on the lives of others?  Dryden Therapeutic Riding is committed to providing therapeutic, recreation and life skills training opportunities for children and adults with special need.  Volunteers are needed for all positions, and previous experience with horses is not necessary, as training will be provided.  If you are interested, a sign-up sheet is available in the main office.
Oct. 13 Volunteer drivers are needed for Safe Grad.  Sign up now in the main office for future events.  Parents, Grandparents, or siblings can volunteer to help out.  Grads can get Safe Grad points.    For more information, please contact Sherrie Ketterer @ 216-6792.
