Morning Announcements – November 30th, 2011

Nov. 30 The Dryden Eagles girls hockey team remains undefeated with a 5 – 4 win over the visiting FF Muskies.  Leading the way was Alexis Reid with a hat trick.  Adding singles were Chelsey Walske and Morgan Church.  Bree Brown was strong in net earning her third win.  The girls travel to Kenora this Friday to play TA.  Puck drop is at 1:30.
Nov. 30 This is a reminder to Mr. G’s music classes.  You are to leave class at 1:00 today and head to the Centre.  Music Association Executive is to meet in the music room at the beginning of period 3.
Nov. 30 The Vermilion Bay & Area Kinette Club would like to invite staff and students to their Annual Christmas Parade.  It will be on Dec. 3rd at approx. 3:00 p.m. after the CPR Holiday train from 1:30 – 2:15.  If you would like to enter a float in the parade, registration forms will be available in the Messenger and at the Bayview Hotel.  For more information, come to the main office.
Nov. 24 – Dec.1 Cheerleading photos will be taken on Thursday, Dec. 1st at lunch.  Meet in the tech room. 
Nov. 30 There will be a Lakehead U. presentation on Thursday, Dec. 1st @ 10:30 in the library.  Please sign up in the Guidance Office.  There will also be a parent’s information session that night from 7:00 – 9:00 in the DHS library.
Nov. 30 A rep from Con College will be at DHS on Dec. 6.  Please sign up in the guidance office if you would like to attend the presentation.
Nov. 30 Sunset Country Heritage Music Association is still in need of volunteers to help serve food & help with clean up for their Christmas dinner & dance @ the Legion on Saturday, December 3rd from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.  Contact Mervin @ 216-8319
Nov. 30 Grade 12 students are encouraged to check out the high school website for the latest scholarships and bursaries.  Stop by the guidance office for more information.
Nov. 30 Grade 12 students applying to universities and colleges outside of Ontario, MUST let the guidance office know, or transcripts will not be sent.
