Morning Announcements – Nov. 24, 2009

Nov. 24 Good luck to our girls and boys hockey teams playing tonight at the arena.  Come & cheer on our teams – games start at 6:30 tonight.
Nov. 24 2nd Season Cheerleading try-outs continue tomorrow morning at 6:50 in the big gym.
Nov. 24 Wear your blue & gold/ eagles wear to school tomorrow to help welcome the Grades 7 & 8 at their elementary volleyball tournament being held here tomorrow in both gyms.
Nov. 23 – 25 Any Eagles football players interested in playing football beyond the high school level are invited to a meeting Wed. Nov. 25th at 11:30 in the phys. ed. office.  A junior football rep is visiting & can help answer questions.
Nov. 24, 25 Learn to cake decorate with Mrs. Ambridge & Mrs. Adams starting tomorrow at 11:30 – 12:30 in room 124B.  Please sign up in the main office – space is limited.

Nov. 24 Grade 12 students applying to Ontario colleges – there will be online training sessions today.  For those applying to Ontario universities, the online training will be November 25th & 26th.  Sign up in the guidance office.
Nov. 24 Lakehead University is preparing for the “Realize Your Potential Fall Preview Day” on December 4th.  This is a great opportunity for students and their families to tour the university and check out the different departments.  For more information, stop by the guidance office.
Nov. 24 Did you miss the Dryden High School Ambassadors’ first planning and recruitment meeting?  Are you interested in joining them on their tour of Russia in March 2011?  Then be sure to attend their second meeting today at 6:30 p.m. in the Dryden High School Library.  Applications will be received from all DHS students on a first come first served basis and screened on the basis of attendance, attitude, behavior and effort.  If you are interested in getting more information about the Educational Tour, please attend this meeting.  Please note that our travel dates do NOT conflict with OFSAA.
Nov. 24 Dryden Atom Tournament organizers are still looking for student volunteers to keep time for their tournament which is taking place December 11th – 13th.  Sign up is here in the main office.  This is a good opportunity to earn some volunteer hours.
